Exquisite, Inlaid Curio Cabinet.  Fresh from a fine Riverdale New York estate, this unique display cabinet has some of the finest detail and workmanship we have seen.  All original, solid cherry, inlaid with both subtlety colored mother of pearl, brass and pewter metal, all surrounded by lovely, delicate carvings.  The sides of this cabinet are a "double serpentine" both the glass and wood, curved in a very distinctive design.  The large, single front door, has flat glass and two long carved decorative elements.  The back is mirrored and there are two glass and one wood shelf, which creates a "blind" space for storage when the door is closed.  Original working lock and paneled back.  There is more detail then I can describe so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.  I believe this piece dates from about 1920 and is in extraordinarily fine condition.  Its only flaws are a solid hair-line in one of the lower curved glass panels (2" x 1/2 inch, pictured) and some wear to the wood near the lock.   54 " tall x 36" wide x 13" deep.  Price $2800.00
