aesthetic movement FOLDING chair
Fine American Aesthetic Movement Campaign Chair. All original, ebonized faux bamboo, with original gilding and brass caps. This chair is in amazing condition, with no missing pieces, breaks, repairs or touch-ups. Beautifully designed and signed by the E.W. Vaill patent folding chair company of Worcester Massachesetts, it is an extremely fine example of Japanese influence in Late Victorian "art furniture". Although it is light in weight, it is completely "sit-able" and is reasonably comfortable. Nice old upholstery with brass nail head trim in good condition. We have lightly re-polished. Ready to be used by anyone wanting both comfort and style in a fine 19th century antique. 34" tall x 17" wide x 18" deep, 15 1/2" from floor to seat. Price $575.00
