french inlaid marble clock & garniture set

19th Century French, Inlaid Marble,  three piece clock and mantel garniture.  This complete and original clock set is circa 1880 and Aesthetic Movement in style. This large and handsome black marble clock is chip carved with a delicate leaf design and inset with round and diamond shaped colored marble. The clock face is white enamel with black Arabic numerals and black hands. The fancy ring around the clock face has a bright original gold finish. The hinged clock crystal is set in a nicely patinaed brass ring. Fine "as found" condition, with only very minor flaws to the edges of the marble on the clock case.  Fully marked, with a horse shoe stamp that says Paris on the top and has three interlocked initials of which I am not sure.  The set is of very high quality and in good working order, it had been recently serviced when we purchased it.   The clock is 13 3/4" tall x 18" wide x 5 1/2" deep, the side pieces are 8 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" diameter.  Price for the three piece set,  $895.00
