FOX AND GRAPES LAMP

 Extremely rare, Patinated white metal, allegorical lamp "The Fox And The Grapes."  Circa 1900-1920. This amazing piece features a detailed, realistic fox, looking up at bunches of grapes hanging on a vine. The clusters of grapes are four cased glass shades in different shades of green to make them more realistic. There are also grape leaves wrapped around the vine and small bunches of hanging glass grapes. The base of the lamp where the fox is standing is cast to look like scattered leaves. All original un-repaired condition, with a lovely near perfect bronzed finish.  36" tall x 20" wide x 11" deep.  A rare beauty.  Price $5,800.
