EXTRAORDINARY VICTORIAN HALL LIGHT

Extraordinary Victorian hall light. I have never seen another fixture this elaborate, with an original ornate frame work, which retains it's original copper wash over cast brass finish and stained, leaded and jeweled panels.  Circa 1885.  Each glass panel in this large, important single light chandelier, is a bent panel with green and amber horizontal panels of glass on top with curved side panels in red and a single panel of green across the bottom. The center glass is clear and divided into four sections  the center of which is a finely cut and faceted jewel. The jewels are all blue but appear green with a change of light or angle. This entire fixture is in excellent original condition and has just been electrified. It has an original Victorian brass canopy and heavy, elaborate chain. It has a hinged door for easy bulb replacement. It can easily be made longer, or shortened up to seven inches from it's present length. This is as fine an example of Late Victorian, Aesthetic Movement lighting as exists. Perfect for a restoration or discerning collector. Professionally  re-wired for safety, no damage or missing parts.    42 " overall length x 12" wide. The body of the fixture is 30"long.  Price $2,800.00.
