ROCOCO GILDED MIRROR

Rococo, gilded parlor mirror. Fresh from a mid 19th century Brooklyn brownstone, Circa 1850.  This superb example of ornate yet elegant Rococo design, covered with leaves and flowers done in gilded gesso over a wooden frame is in very fine, almost all original condition with only minor repairs and touch ups to the original gilding and even wear to the pointy side elements. It is large and impressive and was in use over the central parlor marble mantel. It would also work well in a hall or over a sideboard. Original flat plate mirror in good condition and most of the original back boards.  It measures 62" tall x  37" wide.  Price $2800.00
