MEDIEVAL SWORD AND SHIELD

Unusual, early 20th wrought iron fireplace wall decoration in the form of a Medieval shield with two removable swords. Circa 1910-20.  The central decoration is a three dimensional "lion passant". The top of the shield is a crown that curves out.  All original with a matte black finish. There are some hooks on the front and a chain for hanging on the reverse.Very good antique condition, this piece really looks ancient. Perfect for over a sideboard or fireplace. 29 " tall x 24 " wide (shield) the swords are each 36" long.  Price $385.00.
