FRENCH CHROMO LITHO

LARGE 18TH CENTURY FRAMED FRENCH CHROMO-LITHOGRAPH. Extremely fine, formal 18th c French style vintage frame with a vivid print of a musical evening in an opulent parlor. All original, as fine as this print is, I purchased it for the large extraordinary frame which could easily house a mirror. In a Louis XV-XVI taste, probably a decorator piece from the first half of the 20th c, the frame is gilded gesso and wood with an inset border in a soft mat black. Very fine vintage condition with miniscule chips to the outer edge that have been touched up in the past. Original glass and backing. Perfect for over a mantel or sideboard. 42 1/2" x 30".  Price $595.
