Circa 1880.  English oil on canvas, Victorian portrait of a sad women.  Wonderful, soft colors add to the mood of this skillfully painted portrait of a seated women clothed in shades of pink.  Unsigned, very nicely framed in a fine period gilded gesso frame.  Both the painting and frame are in very fine original condition.  29"x high x 24 3/4" wide overall, painting is 19 3/4" x 15 3/4" without frame.  Price $1,800.00
