LIMOGES HAND PAINTED DECORATIVE  PLATE

Limoges hand-painted artist signed plate of a boat. Circa 1905.  This fine porcelain plate features several sailing ships on the ocean, near land. There is one main boat in the center and two smaller ones behind. There are several sea birds in the sky and greenery and rocks in the foreground. Painted by a skilled hand and signed "Lug" on the front, bottom center. The porcelain blank is fully marked J.P. L. France. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate, very good original condition, with two tiny nicks on the rim where it sat on a plate holder. 10" diameter.   Price  $150.00
