CORONAWARE DAFFODIL PITCHER

Elegant Staffordshire Pitcher.  Circa 1923-37. This vibrant, English pitcher is a wonderful example of hand painted Staffordshire, fully marked "S. Hancock and Sons, Stoke-on Trent".  The Pattern is "Daffodil", painted in brilliant blues, greens, yellows and reds with a finely gilded ring around the top openning.  I would say that it is Grecian in form with an "Arts and Crafts" decoration and colors reminiscent of Majolica.  Excellent original condition, no chips, cracks or repairs and no signs of wear or use.  8 3/4" tall x 5" deep.  Price  $175.00.
