VICTORIAN PARLOR SET

Very Fine, High-end Renaissance Revival Parlor Set.  Circa 1875.  This lovely, American five piece parlor set, is American Black walnut featuring a handsome border of marquetry inlay beneath the carved and incised crests and along the bottom seat moldings of all the pieces. The set consists of a three section settee, a large ladies chair, a gents large arm-chair and two side chairs. This set is fresh from a Park Slope Brooklyn brownstone where it was the center piece of a stunning Victorian parlor. All in very fine condition, settee, ladies and gents chairs expensively upholstered in a lovely gold brocade, the two side chairs are upholstered in a matching mohair, all with button tufting and matching gimp. Comfortable and ready for use.   Both the quality and condition of this Victorian suite of furniture make it a rare find.  Settee  66" long x 28" deep x 42" tall, ladies chair 23" wide x 23" deep x 43" tall, gents chair 26" wide x 28" deep x 44 1/2" tall, side chairs 19" wide x 20" deep x 39" tall.  Price $7,500 for the five piece set.
