Fashioned out of hand painted hard plaster by the well known Borghese company this pair of all original Italian bookends is a shaded fawn or amber on deep black bases with gold collars and medallions. This charming, whimsical pair are seated with their aristocratic noses in the air and what looks to me to be a hint of a smile.  Good original condition with a chip to the top of the nose of one and a larger flake on the base of the other. They stand 8 1/2” tall  x 4 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" deep with tongue.  Price  $375, for the pair.
